The Horror Genre of A Twisted Series Short Story Series

We live in a retaliatory and selfish world if you honestly think about it. Where those in selfishness and pride do whatever they can to keep an upper hand. Using belittling, shaming, gaslighting, and bandwagoning to fulfill insecurity by prey on the vulnerable. To feel a sense of inferiority on those emotions they internalize, which includes trauma and insecurity, where the reason why these individuals get far more cruel treatment is that they appear weak and won’t take action. But what if the tables got turned, and in that moment of helplessness, a new motive develops. Where helplessness is no more, and the reason becomes revenge and a mission. To rid of all those manipulative and dangerous people that continue to inflict these situations. In a personal setting and a professional setting. As those victims reaching a breaking point and gain no justice. Have nothing to lose and nothing gain.

The genre of horror that the Twister Sister Short Story Series carries a few elements that at the moment when all hope is lost in a trauma victim occurs in the worst-case scenario when fear turns into rage and engages revenge. Where in a traditional horror story, the one slaughtered in a killer’s anger is the innocent. Where in the Twisted Sister genre, it takes the cause and effect from those who know better, take advantage of vulnerable falling in the slippery slope of fulfilling insecurity by destroying the only sanity a victim in these situations have. Where sadism is what replaces the need to feel accepted, eliminate, or gain justice. Turns into a pleasure for revenge and blood. As horror is a multimillion-dollar industry, and people don’t process the light-hearted and rational lessons given in good fate, respond to these lessons differently. As they say, there is more than one way to skin a cat. And the best way to trap your predator turn prey is by playing a victim’s stereotype, having them walk into the shadows of death. With no escape.
